Some people both men & women are opposed to physical violence. I’m not one of those people but I would like to save it for a last resort. If you’re not opposed to it get training. Just because you think you can fight/shoot/intimidate/whatever doesn’t ever mean that someone else isn’t better at it.
Situational Awareness
Understanding your surroundings is crucial for personal safety. This section covers tips on how to stay alert and aware of potential threats in your environment, empowering you to make informed decisions.
Always stay alert. Don’t keep your attention on your phone or on the ground. I’m not suggesting that you get into a staring contest with every one you encounter but make eye contact to show them you are aware.

Explore various strategies to prevent crime, including community engagement, personal safety measures, and awareness of local crime trends. Knowledge is your best defense against becoming a victim.
Have your keys out & ready. Never park in a dark area. Never walk next to the parked cars give yourself some room incase someone is crouched between parked cars.

If you’re not opposed to carrying a firearm there are a couple of recommendations I have. First find one that feels/fits comfortably in your hand. Caliber doesn’t matter nearly as much as willingness to use it & shot placement. If you’re not comfortable with the weapon you’re not as likely to use it. Get training to become proficient with it & practice. If you’re not willing to use it then don’t pull it out. I would strongly recommend leaving it at home until you are willing to use it.
Safety Tips for Women
Discover practical safety tips tailored specifically for women, covering topics from personal safety devices to travel safety. These tips are essential for enhancing your overall security.
If you are caught by surprise in a parking lot do not go quietly. Wrap your arms & legs around one of their legs & scream at the top of your lungs! If you have a whistle try to use it. You might get injured but it will possible be better than the alternative if you leave the parking lot with the predator.
Emergency Preparedness
Being prepared for emergencies can make a significant difference. This section provides guidance on creating emergency plans, assembling safety kits, and knowing how to respond in various situations.
From my perspective being armed & trained are your best options if you won’t carry a firearm how about a taser or stun-gun, or even pepper spray. How about self defense or martial arts training?
Support Networks
Building a support network is vital for personal safety. Learn how to connect with local organizations, online communities, and resources that can provide assistance and support when needed.
With the availability of different apps nowadays make sure someone knows where you are & what time you’ll be back or if you’re running late. Preferably go with others.
Mental Resilience
Developing mental resilience is key to navigating challenging situations. This section offers strategies for building mental strength and coping mechanisms to enhance your overall well-being.
I understand that it is easier said than done but try not to panic. Try to maintain your composure. Calmer heads will always prevail. You can fall apart after the emergency is over. In an emergency situation your brain is the best tool you have if you use it & follow your training. There are several organizations that provide subscriptions for legal help should you lawfully have to use a firearm, please research & find one that suits your needs.
